HOPE
You pessimist
killing it already?
but you can't
it is what
the most successful
most resilient of humans
survive on.

HOPE
It is
that keeps us going
one day
into the next
without which
life will be
meaningless.

HOPE
It is
for a better tomorrow
that keeps us planning
for it today
tonight
before we go
to sleep.

HOPE
Is what's making
most of us
patient to bear
doing our acts
continuously
consistently.

HOPE
Had it not been
for it
many would have
given up
out of demands
of a sunrise to sunset
each day.

HOPE
For the most gracious
of tranquility
as a reward
for patience
and perseverance
through this journey
called life.

HOPE
Could there be
a purpose in
the pursuits of life
and even beyond
if hope ceases
to exist?
Could there be?
