I am the She

Trusted with a temple, guarded

The one apple supreme of his eyes
Adorably cute, I’m a pampered queen
A flower in full bloom, perpetual, sweet
Graceful as the wind, conscious of a breeze
My heart is a home, a selfless offering to him
Elegantina, light-filled, illuminating all nooks
I only bow down, total in submission to One
Worthy of my mind, cherished in my soul
I germinated on an earth, ancient, historic
But by origin, I of the famous Kanem
A regal Nubian of Kanuric descent
Wisdom’s navel with knowledge
Unsurpassed.
