A smoking shoe
One half of two
Belonging to who?
Anyone but you.
Telling us of blues
In fumes that do
Explain something true
Long, long overdue.
Bring forth its pair
Out of range, o dear
Still laced with despair
On a foot in the rear
Earlier filled with beer
By a man with beard
Now consumed by a bear
A simple story, yet so clear.
