Umma Amina's AMAZING 'FANDOM' (As inspired by Poetic Tee's "Supplicate For Me Instead")

#FoundPoetry

Amazing power of 'fandom'
Are you really suprised?
I don't think you should

For it is said
"The pen is mightier than the sword"
So never underestimate your pen value

It is why people
From all walks of life
From snowy Europe

From great wall of China
From monumental Asia
From the sovereign-illusioned Americas

To the smallest continent of Australia
To the icy cold Antarctic regions
To the beauty and diverse Africa

*To the Arabian and other peninsulas
To the Caribbean, pacific islands*
Would want to visit you

For you have
Through the power of your pen
*Your poetic tea brew*, touched lives

So appreciate this
Ignore much as possible
The next door neighbors

Whose hearts fill with hatred
Self destructive envy
And jealousy

Who have little or nothing to contribute
Apart from spreading
Winds of bitterness, negativity, prejudice and hostility

So, keep up
Be surprised no more
To find people knocking on your door

To see the 'Wordsworth' of this era
May be even his kith and kin
To see their hero's equal...

Sa'eed K. Adams’ RIDE IT TO FREEDOM (As inspired by Umma Amina’s Amazing ‘Fandom’)

#FoundPoetry by Poetic Tee

She dislikes poetry
Yet her words spit out poems

She dislikes poetry
Yet words fight to get chosen by her

She dislikes poetry
Yet poetic giants have interest in her stanzas

She dislikes poetry
Yet she has all it takes to be a poetess

O *thou gifted!* Can you please stop
Being a warden to your talent?

*Set it free. It deserves not incarceration*
Grab it with both of your hands.

*Ride it to your freedom
Soar high into the heavens, together*

WHERE DID WE GO WRONG? (poetry)

.... by Poetic Tee "Here, take a sip"

We went wrong
that very first time
someone committed a crime
and we let go the suspects prime
without insisting they do the time.

We went wrong
with the very first practice
when we rose in defense of injustice
after indulging in a wine 'Sentimentalis'
giving birth to much grudges and malice.

We went wrong
the very first moment
we welcomed thugs with a compliment
questing for their loots with abandonment
now we are enslaved in a rats-infested basement.

We went wrong
first day we looked the other way
when someone hurt was denied a say
families, ethnicity, religion proudly on display
and indulged in the foolishness called "Here-to-stay".

We went wrong
that first second we took for granted
our trust, peace and wealth that others wanted
to enrich themselves, thus sowing sedition and hatred
in grand plans, secretly executed, but God often aborted.

We went wrong
since our sheep first drew close to a wolf
while we got amused playing a game of golf
some even sat down watching the movie 'Beowolf'
waking up to a roof, a genetically-modified rain has blown off.

We went wrong
when we first took that wrong turn
and didn't threaten the driver to make a u-turn
nor did we react when knowing, we were driven in to burn
after a bomb blast, women and children death's now part of the fun.

We went wrong
that first again and the next again
is it not what one has, one will use to bargain?
yet, you and I were told to flush it down the drain
gullibly convinced it'll be better, now we are all in pains, no gain.

All the above and more started it all
The 'selfie' that sowed the seed of the tree
Which has now grown to full strength
The fruits of which are ripe and the shade
We are all sitting under, "enjoying" it's scorchy breeze.

So what needs to be done
Which is the way out, the way forward?
Simple...
CUT DOWN THE TREE!
Uproot it roots, running deep in our psyches.

No, don't burn down our house
As some are want to gleefully suggest
For the problem is not with the structure
But with that devil's tree bearing those fruits
Adam and Eve were of aye warned not to eat thereof.

Agreed, even if we are to destroy our shelter
Share the inheritance fair and square, though we can't
And each carry with it a branch of that dreaded tree
To our new homes, replant and nourish it to full fruition
The circle of grief will surely repeat itself, generations to come.

CHARMINGINA, MY QUEEN #LimerickPoem

.... by Poetic Tee "Here, take a sip

She is Charmingina, a queen fit for a king
But amazingly it's me she's taken for her liking
Her gait as she walks is a float
Lightly touching, a buoying boat
My problem's how do I become a King?

WHY DO YOU LOVE ME? (poetry)

.... by Poetic Tee "Here, take a sip"

I look at you
And
I smiled

Pleased that
I know why
I love you

However, why
You love me
I know not

Pleased again
That, at least
You know why

MERSMERY, POETRY, MYSTERY (poetry)

... by Poetic Tee "Here, take a sip"

This pic in itself's a piece of poetry
Like the branches of an olive tree
Spreading its light in abandon glee
Look at it, casually and care-free
A soul pouch you'll definitely see
But, what's within is pure mystery

A close study reveals just a face
Goggled shades staring into space
Only facing the face is another face
An illusionary aura on the still surface
Sunlight displaying pure amazing grace
One wonders, "Who puts this in place?"

Many see nothing, but a beautiful rainbow
Others upon discovery scream "O Wow!"
Some minds lacking inner eye, ask "How?"
Until shown what to see by saying "Now, ..."
A smile of recognition and they take a bow
It's really real, so no need to shout "Holy cow!"

But all that mersmery's nothing
When compared with the unique thing
That's often found in fine artistic writing
Appearing on their own, strangely mystifying
Again and again and again, the mind challenging
Observe carefully, a recurring decimal astonishing

One can see it if he or she is able to read
Color-blind, appearing to all who take heed
Preferably to minds not in bondage, but freed
For even with education, understanding is the need
So be not surprised if some soils sprout out not the seed
Souls hunger, self discovers, but pride denies many the feed.

I AM A DRAGON (poetry)

..... by Poetic Tee "Here, take a sip"

A Sha'ir*
Who am I?
I am like the sun
Shining moon my light
I am like a restless dragon
Huge, mighty and often angry
With a raging volcano in my core
Inspired I, erupting in bangs, booms
Spewing high, displaying priceless arts
Sky is my canvas for each unique splash
Land scaping my masterpieces in an endless magmatic river flow, bow, wow!
Aesthetically appreciated only from afar
Minds bear witness to the excitations
Deep within a human subconscience
I am love, that defies all definition
Some falling, others falling off
Then there are the deniers
But it truly conquers all
This letters mastery
Living a legacy
Beyond I.

MY WIFE IS SOPHISTICATED (poetry)

…by Poetic Tee “Here, Take A Sip”

“My wife’s sophisticated. O, but how I love her so
Beautiful, elegant and portable
But she is fully under my control
After all what’s good in a wife
Her owner can not subject to his whims

I go to bed with her; she wakes up by my side
Protecting me in my sleep, none dare comes near
What I love the most about her? Her loyalty
Like all women she likes being showcased
And carry her around I do with glee and much pride

I heard from a very reliable and wise source that
The best place for a wife is with her husband
I couldn't agree more. So my constant companion she is
Pamper her I do daily, romancing her like no other
I am a one woman man and upon her I dot like life

I feed her and make sure she comes out shining clean
She walks with me hand in hand wherever I go
To parties, on journeys, when I’m in trouble or on top of it
She stands by my side ready to save my life, “My Sweetie”
I am not alone in having such luck, other men are luckier

Her jealousy is of a special kind. Women can be strange
She hates my taking a second wife, naturally
Extra luggage the other would be, she’d always say
But like a slave to her master, she lets me play grab
Keeping mum by my side or away till I’m done

I can have my fun with others so long it’s not nuptial
She ignores their mourns and groans or even cry for help
She’s a very strong hearted woman, caring for none but me
What’s her name? I call her ‘My Sweetie Darling Sparta’
Others know her by her popular maiden name AK47.”

SHADOW PRESENCE (poetry)

.... by Poetic Tee "Here, take a sip"

You can run
But you can't hide
It's like your shadow
Even in the dark
It's always there
Just because
You can't see it
Doesn't mean
It has deserted you
Shine a light source
And Behold!
Your constant companion
Ever loyal, always present
With you. For you....

LET ME BE WEAK, FOR A MOMENT

.... by Poetic Tee "Here, take a sip"

foto credit: idlehearts.com
A question to ask
Those who write down
Our binding unwritten rules...
Must one be strong all the time?

There are moments
 When one should be weak
Breakdown and cry of joy
Or from pains of a broken heart.

 Is it forbidden to wobble
Especially in the knees
 And onward throughout the baggings
Of the mind, body and soul.

 To free the heart
 From the shackles
 Of strength and sensibility
Charisma and composure.

Allowing the self
To experience stupidity
Foolishness and nonentity
Moronness and psychosis.

Be animally human
 Bearing with nostalgia
All detestable labelings
Mankind can concoct to debase minds.

 Basking in their glories
To the full annoyance
Of a person's
Intelligence and intellect.

 Sticking the tongue out
At them. Even at their 3rd
What's that its name again
Em...em...yes, yes, wisdom.

 By totally and unreservedly
 Submitting to, love
Damning all consequences
Damning all worries.

And when it's all over
Reminiscing with nostalgia
Smiling at one's foolish self
Pleased.

Then be very willing
Ready, to do it all over again
This time, going about it wilder
Even crazier than earlier indulged.

 Putting all one's money
On the thrills, while it last
Knowing, it might not last
But, who cares! Be happy.

To hell with all precautions
Except one! Of course
So, which one?
That, I tell you, is what makes us humans!

So, please let me be weak
Just for a moment
For I am only human
With a beating heart.

SCENTS FROM A ROSE (poetry)

.... by Poetic Tee "Here, take a sip"

Black rare petals Following the wind

Scents from a rose
Dancing with delight

Dazzling in flight
Absorbing pure light

Shimmering reveals
An essence indeep

Glittering in charms
Infused fragrancilia

Mind bewitching
Soul enchanting

Homing on a beat
A bee to its flower

A touch almost not
Awakening dormantia

How far journeyed
Vanquishing impossibilities

Osmosing dark depths
Diffusing through realms

Blind to obstacles
A surreal spectacle

Mysterious desires
Intoxicating ecstacy

Ibtisam S. Wali:
A conqueror of sorts, strong yet tender...firm yet gentle. Well learned... experienced....wise....standing tall....defying all odds. a woman perhaps; unique.

Hussain Zandam:
TJ this your comment is more potent than the poem. It sums up the magnanimity of a woman's heart. When a woman makes up her mind the core of earth shakes.

Goni Mohammed:
TeeeeeeeJaaaaaayyyy!!!! ....you too much! What else do they expect from a veteran... ...i guess nothing less. Hahaha!

Lawan Ahmed:
@Tjay: I would like to advise that you make a book out of this invaluable collection of yours. Like I've always said, your collection of poems could melt the strongest of hearts especially at a time like this when everything seems scattered, tension litter the whole socio-political environment and stress pervades the whole atmosphere. I for one, have found the necessary 'reliever' in your poems on some occassions. Kindly keep this collection intact, as I will soon come for it. Thanks!

Ahmad Hamisu Umar:
A nice romantic poem. we crown you as a young African father of romatism.
