A 21ST CENTURY MARTYR’S STORY ~ Dedicated To All Innocent Victims Of Friday 28th November 2014 Kano Central Mosque Bomb Blast.

Tijjani Muhammad Musa's photo.…by Poetic Tee “Here, take a sip”

He takes a bath, spiritual
And takes another, habitual
First to cleanse of sins, his soul
Then to clean dirt off his whole

Perfuming attire, scents of paradise
Head to toes, white on white, thrice
He picks his mat, beads, a soft muffler
A habit, now second nature to this feller

Another Jum’at call, mind, body he ablutes
He’s no soldier, but plans to throw salutes
Ready for an appointment he’s since kept
Everything he has, of wants nothing’s left

Think not that affluence is what is meant
Tijjani Muhammad Musa's photo. But a contented heart, life gratefully spent
Check, double check, he’s flawlessly clean
On a steel stick still, his each step will lean

Once young, then a father, now a grandpa
Preferring to walk the distance, though far
Slowly, but surely he will stroll in the street
Familiar faces, male, female, children greet

Arriving, he stands in awe of his destination
He’s come here, for over 40 years of devotion
A historic monument 400 years and counting
Each day of gathering, he comes to its planting

His position, marked by his regular presence
Consistently reciting his words with eloquence
Celebrating Him, Whom he gloriously reveres
Of all offers, this he wholeheartedly prefers

His 4 hours patience for a 10 minutes salat ritual
Tijjani Muhammad Musa's photo. Can only be based on a conviction, steep in factual
Finally it’s time for a true promise, he least expect
Standing white, inside out clean, mind in retrospect

Like any true Muslim on the right path
He often wishes for martyrdom in his heart
But age has taken him custody, stripping off hopes
Barely can he stand upright, tall but bent he copes

Before His Majestic Throne he prepares to prostrate
His purpose on earth, he reaffirms, to truly vindicate
No short-changing nor delaying, a smile that dimples
Submitting to Allah’s Will, copying the Rasool’s examples

The call is Adhan made, he stands up in front row
Legs, shoulders adjust to solidify, a single wall flow
A million minds harmonize, spirited for The Only One
Then Gates of Heaven open, a “Boom!!!” ushers Baffan.

- And others to the Ultimate of Success!!!

MTN "SHIKENAN*" #LimerickPoem with a "shikenan" twist.

...by Poetic Tee "Here, take a sip"

A lost child seeks for help, with tearful eyes
Hungry all day, seeking for sweet mother, he cries
Given to eat food for the pang, water for the quench
Weak, wearied with worry, soon he sleeps on a bench
A number, a 1 minute call, distressed was over. "Ai SHIKENAN."

A housewife cooking her family a delicious meal
Ingredients ready, pot put on fire, the heat to feel
Soon aromas tease nose buds, wetting appetites
As bubbles bounce and boil about to give respite
Kerosene runs out. With lil' left, she loads, orders with SHIKENAN.

Justyn just jumped off a bus at a Jos junction "Justify"
Looking chic, bouncy, full of life, she smiles at a guy
Suddenly, a rough bump, an apology, no harm done
Minutes later, she realizes her valuables are all gone
Not wanting to beg, she buys MTN N10 RC for a call. SHIKENAN.

Your car breaks down near a village in the middle of nowhere
Flash a Wazobia to buy credit, "Oga no change" vendors stare
Checked your status and by a soft feminine voice you're told
"Sorry, you can't borrow airtime." Thus your life's put on hold
Luckily you have N10. 1 minute call later, you smile at SHIKENAN.

"Good God, are we that poor? A N10 recharge card!" He says
"This is nothing but poverty!" she shouts "What a disgrace."
"How much does it cost to print the card? Haba!"
A poor Nigerian villager passing by heard, a barber
"My phone, ko sisi. Can you please load for me N1000 card?” SHIKENAN!

GBAM!!!

YOUR SMILE

...by Poetic Tee "Here, take a sip"

I'll travel uncountable light years
Arrive at the very end of time
Wait till eternity fully expires
Just to take home, your smile... :)

IS THERE ANYTHING THAT LIVES IN FIRE?

...by Poetic Tee "Here, take a sip"

I plant a single, sea seed
On solid rock.
It rolls off with a speed.

I then plant it in wet, warm water
It buoys off.
Floating into a scatter.

I try planting it here, there, on air
It wouldn’t hang.
Just me, on a bold dare.

I also plant it in fire, a higher desire
What grows in hell?
A denizen flora?

I finally plant it in a mystic, misty, mind
Instantly it germinates.
Fertilizing on imagination.

I find its fragrancing flowers fulfilling
Intoxicating souls.
Excitingly illuminating more, and more.

HEAVEN ISN’T HELL’S OPPOSITE

...by Poetic Tee "Here, take a sip"

Death
It is always there
Unfailingly potent
It delivers as ordained
Not a second more or less.

It separates loved ones
Both genuine and fake ones
It also unite loved ones
On the other side
But only real, true ones.

It’s the only access to heaven
And who doesn't want its bliss?
Yes, we all do
Everybody does
The good, the bad, the ugly.

Mind you
Heaven is not
The opposite of Hell
Rather earth is
Paradise opposites Hell.

So, fear not death
For it ensure your immortality
Smile and celebrate
It is your perpetuity
A gift from Allaah SWT.

 Just ensure you gain admission
Into paradise, Al-Jannah
That's all
For that is
Success, supreme indeed!
