ANGOLA! THERE IS NO SMOKE WITHOUT FIRE
Written by Tijjani Muhammad Musa Let nobody think the worldwide concern and interest generated by the controversial Angolan ban on Islam and its subsequent denial by their Foreign embassy in Washington DC was a waste of time. Actually it was not a waste. There's no smoke without fire. If there was no ban or something similar, then what started the "rumour"? To the point of even quoting some highly placed government officials. Ai biri ya yi kama da mutum. We are just letting anybody know that just because Angolan Muslims are a minority there, none should think of even remotely denying them of their fundamental human right to freely worship. Even the majority Angolan Christian population are all not followers of the same denomination. Some are Catholics, Protestants, Anglicans, Baptists, Pentacostal etc. Remember, this is Africa, so I'm sure there are traditional religion practitioers. And of course there must be atheists, satanists, cultists, free thinkers etc, so it is not possible that all except the 5% Muslims in Angola are non-Christians.
