Designer clothes, shoes and perfumes
Variety of shapes, colors and sizes
Different textures, hues and tints
All in efforts to excite our 5 senses
Mankind recognizes the need for choices
And exploits it to real and vainful gains
Making billonaires, pimps and commoners
Proverbially "Killing 2 birds with one stone"
Ever bothered to ask why man copied that
From a source he often chooses to defy
That made him unique, endowed and thinks
Only of today, never of tomorrow, the most
How could man, intelligent, able and wise
Black, white, rainbow, beautiful or otherwise
Seeing other things similarly by nature varied
Claim his ability, yet unjustly strip and deny
Is it wisdom to see with the eyes only brilliance
Without considering what sits next in the shadows
Thinking, that is all to the light and nothing more
When yesterday, tomorrow is today
And earlier, later is now?
