BUT HOW OFTEN WE ARE WRONG

...by Poetic Tee "Here, take a sip"

We often mistake everyone for being cultured
But how often we are wrong.

We also think everyone who can read and write is educated
But how often we are wrong.

We sometimes think everyone we meet is sane
But how often we are wrong.

We good heartedly give respect to others, expecting same in return
But how often we are wrong.

We then believe moral soundness is a trait everyone we interact with has
But how often we are wrong.

We smile at a person upon meeting, thinking it'll warm hearts
But how often we are wrong.

We give many the benefits of doubt, hoping they'll live up to expectations
But how often we are wrong.

We at most times anticipate civil behavior from persons in suits and ties
But how often we are wrong.

We can finally only forgive, tolerate and forebear
Hopefully, we often would not be wrong.
