My
anthology titled POETIC TEE "Here, take a sip" THE FIRST CUP is due out
any moment from now. It should be an interesting read for all lovers of
my kind of poetry.
It has about 115 poems in the collection, some of which are my personal and others' most favorite. A simple down to earth effort, which feature poems that have delighted and mesmerized many here on facebook and elsewhere on several poetic fora all over the internet.
The book's Introduction was written by my good and humble friend Aliyu A. Wali, the creator of the poetry group POETIC MYNDS. His words alone would make any keen reader grab a copy and indulge in the over 130 pages of my poetic brew.
And the Foreword? Hmmm. It is a masterpiece, written by a 5 books author, a French woman who is a university lecturer of English and French with a track record of poetry publications internationally. Who is she? Find out in the THE FIRST CUP.
What more can you expect? Well, if you have found my poems exciting enough to sincerely express one word or two about them in one poetic group or another, your name and words are most likely featured in the book as my appreciation of your appreciations.
And for those of you who are curious about what poetry means, there are several definitions of the phenomenon according to some literary icons of the genre, from across the world, past and present, which is sure to add value to your comprehension of what poetry is all about.
My Preface revealed how it all started and why I had to jump the queue to publish THE FIRST CUP first instead of the over 4 manuscripts of my books, each waiting to be published. This maiden poetry book would soon be followed by - The Second Cup of Poetic Tee "Here, take a sip".
