WHY DO YOU WRITE?

Someone asked me "Why do you write?" Of course my response was poetic and it goes like this:

I write because I have a conscience.
I write because I'm often pregnant with words.
Once in a while, my EDD clocks.
And my pen delivers me of the burden.
